中国知识分子和国家关系的特点及演变

在第三世界国家的民主化过程中，当权威主义政治体制 受到民主主义的影响而转型时，知识分子作为初期民主化运动的推 手，是形成市民社会的主要动力。自新中国成立以来，历代中国知 识分子阶层的地位和角色变化，可看出当代知识分子和国家关系的 性质，亦可探测中国社会政治民主化的可能性和途径。本论文对中 国的知识分子和国家关系的历史变迁进行系统地重组，然后考察在 不同的时代，国家的知识分子政策是如何变迁，并通过他们对政策 的应对，角色的变化来观察中国社会今后的政治变动，并评估中国 未来民主化的可能。研究显示，自改革开放以后，虽然在自主性方 面获得扩大，但在商业化和市场化及政府的压迫和控制政策之下， 知识分子与国家的关系更倾向于妥协和合作。以中国知识分子对市 民社会的作用和对国家的合作特点为前提，今后中国的政治民主化 道路将不是从下而上的变革，而是通过从上而下的渐进式变化而 形成。
