This study aimed to determine student’s perception of outcome-based education in engineering programmes, as well as their awareness and commitment towards their learning activities. The quantitative data was collected through an online survey questionnaire. Data was collected from 382 undergraduate students of three programmes offered by the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Computer Engineering (FKEKK), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. To embrace the true spirit of outcome-based education (OBE), the faculty has conducted various OBE activities at the beginning of every semester. A serious effort by all lecturers on giving OBE briefing during the first week and distributing posters and OBE video online and offline has shown a great extent of OBE awareness among the students. The majority confirmed that OBE enables them to take responsibility for their learning, and OBE is achievable during online learning.
