Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a widely used approach to physical security and architectural design. Over theyears, urban areas continue to evolve and the population in cities grows. When developing a security strategy, whether for an existing buildingor new construction, it is important to know the common security threats and vulnerabilities and how to address the different types of securitythreats. However, physical security is always neglected as most organizations focus on technology oriented security measures. Therefore, this study is aim to use crime prevention through environmental (CPTED) framework to assess the physical security by using systematic literature review (SLR) as the qualitative research method. Thestudy also aims to explain the gaps when implementing physical security and access control in the organization. Based on the identified physical security gap, the finding from the research will recommend guidelines and solutions in implementing and improving the physical security and access control model.
