The culture of religious tolerance practice among university students

The reality of social life should be able to accommodate differences and diversity between people. One of the diversity is the choice of belief, therefore we should be able to mix with members of the same religious community as well as with others, especially among university students where there are many different religions and races. Religious tolerance is a necessity to guarantee social stability against unwanted ideological forces and even physical clashes in society. This study aims to see how the importance of religious tolerance among students in the university. In addition, this study aims to find out how the practice of religious tolerance is implemented by students at the university. This study is a quantitative study using google form to obtain information related to the purpose of the study. Respondents only involved 50 students. The results of the study showed that 100 percent of respondents said that religious tolerance among university students who are made up of various religions and races is very important. While the practices they usually do regardless of religion as one of the manifestations of tolerance are talking together, donating regardless of religion, visiting sick friends, eating together, playing sports together and so on.
