Amni Haslinda Alpandi1, Nurul Badriyah Ali2, Angraini Ramli3.
Quran is the main source of knowledge for all mankind throughout the ages. Engineering is one of the branches of knowledge that has an impact on the development of technology. There are verses in the Quran that explain this engineering science indirectly. The stories about engineering in the Quran are also able to provide valuable lessons to humans in living the reality of life in the world and as a preparation for the afterlife. However, the discussions about the verses of the Quran in relation to various branches in the field of engineering and the influence of the Quran in the life of engineers are still limited in journals. Therefore, this study is undertaken to present the verses and stories in the field of engineering as well as their effects on the divine values in the life of an engineer. Library research is used to achieve the objective by referring to the Quran. In addition, the book Tafsīr Fī Zilāl al-Qur’ān is also used as a main reference to help researchers delve into and digest the content of the verses of the Quran. Writings on general history, education, and engineering are also consulted to achieve the objective. This study finds that the verses of the Quran greatly affect the divine values to individuals involved in this field of engineering and have a positive impact on the formation of morals as a Muslim. This effect is closely related to the appreciation of the verses of the Quran and efforts to put them into practice in daily life. The Quran was revealed as a guide and provision for humans to live life to worship Allah. This writing can also open the eyes of every Muslim about the wide interpretation of the Quran to convince their hearts that the Quran is a miracle that does not contradict scientific theories.
