Seismic hazard assessment of Peninsular Malaysia using probabilistic method
Delfebriyadi1.
This paper presents the seismic hazard assessment which involved spectral hazard for 2% and 10% probabilities of exceedence in 50 years ground motions for bedrock of Peninsular Malaysia. The analysis was performed using the total probability theorem with 2D seismic source model. The final result are the peak ground acceleration contour maps and the spectral acceleration contour maps for those two hazard levels. These spectral acceleration contour maps represent short period (0.2 sec) and long-period (1.0 sec) spectra values at the bedrock.
