The Asian Journal of English Language and Pedagogy (AJELP) ISSN 2289-8689/ eISSN 2289-8697 is refereed publication which serves as a platform to promote scholarly discussions and collaborative networking among academicians, researchers, theorists, practitioners, and policy-makers of English studies. AJELP highlights current trends in English language, literature, linguistics and pedagogy in Asia and other international contexts. Published annually (December) by UPSI Press for Faculty of Languages and Communication, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. The journal welcomes research and theory based articles as well as exploratory papers.

Peer Review Policy
Publishable manuscripts will be referred to the Editorial Advisory Board members and/or other reviewers. Author are encouraged to suggest names of possible reviewers. Author will be notified about the editorial decision within six weeks from the date of manuscript receipt. Manuscripts are accepted conditionally, pending authors‘ revision of the material.
AJELP is double blind peer reviewed. The editorial processes follow standard procedures thus:
- Call for submissions/Online submissions
- Article submissions and acknowledgements
- Initial evaluation
- Allocation of reviewers based on article content
- Reviewing process
- Author re-submissions if necessary
- Further editing and processing
- Evaluation for publication

Author Guidelines
The purpose of this document is to provide guidelines in the preparation of manuscripts that are submitted for publication in the Asian Journal of English Language and Pedagogy. It should be noted, however, that these guidelines are not intended to provide a comprehensive guide on every aspect in the writing and preparation of articles submitted. Writers are advised to refer to the ‘Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association’ (APA Manual) pertaining to aspects that are covered in the guideline given below.
- Theme: None at the moment.
- Length: 10 - 12 pages, including figures and references, (excluding appendices – if applicable)
- Spacing: as specified in the style sheet
- Paper size: A4
- Margins:
Top – 1in (2.5cm)
Bottom – 1in (2.5cm)
Left - 1.5in (3.8cm)
Right – 1in (2.5cm)
- Page numbers: Bottom right
- Font (and font size): Times New Roman (12-point unless stated otherwise)
- Submit also a 50 word (maximum) biodata.
- Others: Refer to Style sheet provided.
