The Journal of Governance and Development (JGD) (Formerly known as Jurnal Rekayasa) is an international, multidisciplinary journal published by the School of Government, College of Law, Government and International Studies (COLGIS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). A manuscript submitted to the Editorial Board for consideration must be an original unpublished work, not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
The JGD provides a venue for sharing and discussion of problems and issues in the developing world. It considers theoretical and empirical articles that deal with the governance and developmental issues from interrelated disciplinary viewpoints. The journal welcomes contributions from scholars from the humanities and social sciences with a research interest in the developing world.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Starting from 2013, JGD is mainly published in English. Writers are asked to submit their papers in Microsoft Word document with Tables and Figures embedded in the text itself. Language used in writing shall be consistent and using Roman alphabet only.
Papers submitted for consideration of publication in JGD must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere either in electronic or printed form. These papers should also have not been published previously. The corresponding author should declare regarding this issue when submitting the paper to the Chief Editor.
This is a double-blind review process; please be sure that your name does not appear anywhere in the manuscript or in the filename. Author’s name, designation and institutional address should be in a separate document.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to make editorial changes to any manuscript accepted for publication to enhance clarity and style.
The final decision for paper publication is made by the Chief Editor and the editorial board members.
Submissions should include the following information :
- Author :
In form: Full name of author(s) with email address and institution.
- Title :
Title case only.
- Abstract :
Up to 250 words. Provision of abstract is essential.
- Keywords :
Maximum of six keywords.
- Length papers :
Papers submitted should not exceed 20 pages including the page references or a maximum 8000 words, and line spacing 1.0. justified.
- Biodata :
Approximately 50 words in length.
- References :
In APA except for Malay/Chinese/Indian names.
- Endnote :
Footnote should not be used. Endnote should be used instead.
- Abbreviation :
Full names of agencies should be used in the first citation in any article.
Accepted abbreviations or acronyms may be used for subsequent citations.
