OVERVIEW
The Malaysian Journal of Veterinary Research (MJVR) is the official scientific journal of the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia (DVS) and the editorial committee is made up of expertise comprising various fields related to veterinary sciences
MJVR is an open access journal and publishes research articles, case reports, short communications, diagnostics, reviews and veterinary-related historical articles. The aim of MJVR is to document the knowledge, experiences and expertise in the area of veterinary sciences as follows:
Veterinary Medicine;
• The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, disorders and injuries in animals
Animal Science;
• Covers all species of animals, livestock/domesticated and wild
MJVR also serves as platform for sharing information on emerging diseases and contemporary issues affecting the livestock industry and health as well as to improve professional knowledge and effectiveness of veterinary delivery systems for the increasing of the productivity of livestock farming as well as human wellbeing.
PUBLICATION
All articles will be peer-reviewed by reviewers who have the necessary expertise and competent in the relevant field. English is the official language used in the journal. Each manuscript will be scrutinized and reviewed for originality, importance, suitability and quality before publication.

COVER LETTER
Submission of manuscripts must be accompanied by a cover letter by email that includes:
- A declaration that the manuscript has not been published (in peer-reviewed journal) or offered for publication elsewhere in substantially the same or abbreviated form, either in print or electronically (e.g. the internet).
- For works done elsewhere than the address of corresponding author or first author, consent letter from the institution which the work took place must be obtained. Any conflict of interest should be stated.
- Full names, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail addresses of the corresponding author and all the contributing author(s).
- For short communication, please provide the reason(s) for submission. Full research papers are given preference to short communications.
