Founded in 2018, the Journal of Undergradute Research, UMT is a peer reviewed final year undergraduate project publication in Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. This journal is published four times per year ie. Janaury, April, July and Ocotber. The editorial staff, comprising of professors and lecturers supervising these final year undergraduate student projects reviews the submissions and selects several outstandiung work to be highlighted by the journal. The editors base their selections on princicples such asd overall clarity of expression, quality and originality of research, originality of analysis and scholarly approach.
All submissions are carefully evaluated by the journals editorial board, which selects a range of papers that will represemt research across disciplines within all academic schools in the university. Articles are frst reviewed in a multi-tier process by smaller groups of the editorial board members, assembled to bring a diversity of academic perspectives to the table. Also, this journal uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. Essentially, editors work together with authors on typically minor changes to arguments structure, formatting and grammar before the journal is available online.
The most outstanding submission will be published on the journals website. It is an open-acess publication that will encourage future research collaboration and acquiring knowledge without boundaries.
